Blocks Blocks Blocks!

Thanks so much to the ladies that painted over 1000 blocks!!!  Salt Lake will be sending these to orphanages around the world!  And a big thanks to Jenni Johansen & the enrichment committee & those that donated supplies & cut out the blocks!   So nice to be able to do something for those so much less fortunate and so far away.  We are lucky to have the opportunity to do Christlike service for those truly needy kids.

Praising your kids for Praise to the Man

I can't tell you how amazed I am at how well the primary kids have learned this hymn. I can't wait to blow you all out of the water at the primary program in August! Just in case your child hasn't told you I have a poster hanging in the Primary room that the kids can sign their name on if they pass off the words to Praise to the Man to me. The Jr. Primary needs to know the first verse and the chorus and the Sr. Primary needs to know the first and third verses and chorus. When they sign off their name they will get a treat and a huge hug from me. If your child is in Jr. Primary and wants to call me on the phone and pass of the song that works too, but Sr. Primary has to do it face to face. Thanks for all your work with your kids! I can't believe how many Sunbeams have passed this off! If you have any questions or need anything (even if it isn't singing time related) let me know.

Spring Cleaning

Hi All,

Here I am trying to get rid of stuff again. We are trying to clear out a couple of things and thought we'd ask here first to see if anyone was interested.

First, we have a computer desk that we got for free from a neighbor when we first moved in, but really don't need. It's got a lot of space and a few drawers. It's in great condition. It's just been sitting in our spare bedroom collecting dust the entire time we've been here. I promise I'll dust it before we give it to you. It's your free if you need / want something like it.

I also had ambitions of becoming an amazing gardener and composter so we bought a composter last year. It's nothing fancy, just a big plastic box, basically, that we picked up at Home Depot, so it doesn't have multiple compartments or turn or anything. However, I decided, for now at least, composting is not for me. I still haven't given up the gardening, but I am definitely not amazing yet :) Anyway, I bought a bail of hay to use as the dry portion of the compost. You can take or leave that too. There are lots of instructions on the Internet on how to compost, so if you are thinking of trying it out, this would be a really cheap way of doing it since we are just giving it away. Again, I'll hose off the dirt and such before delivering it since it doesn't look too pretty in the picture.

Thanks!
